Lantz is a lifelong resident of Fayette and Effingham counties. He graduated from Beecher City High School and attended Lake Land College. Lantz is a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and is also a member of the Board of Directors at Altamont Lutheran Interparish School. Lantz lives in rural Beecher City with his wife, Alysia, and their two daughters, Alyvia and Abigail.
