I began my career as a mechanical engineer, working with some of our country's largest engineering firms, eventually achieving licensure for the highest qualification my field offered.  While working my day job, my wife and I would save money where we could with hopes of eventually investing in real estate. We loved looking at homes.

The experience of seeing houses and connecting with Realtors was so intriguing that we found ourselves spending our weekends at open houses just for the fun of it. When we were finally able to purchase our own home together, I couldn't help but be involved in every step of the process, from the negotiation to the contracting and inspection process (I've crawled into many an attic/crawlspace during a home inspection because I simply couldn't help myself).  After almost a decade, and building our own investment portfolio of single-family rentals, the chance finally came for me to switch careers to real estate full-time.
